What is lunar age?
In the traditional Chinese system you are 1 year old at birth, so lunar age is usually your regular age plus 1. If your birthday falls before Chinese New Year (January or early February), add 1 more, which is what the checkbox above does.
I only know my due date. What was my conception month?
Count back roughly 38 weeks (about 9 months minus a week) from the due date. A due date in early March usually means conception in early June the year before.
How accurate is this?
Studies put it at about 50%, the same as a coin flip. It is a lovely tradition and a fun game for the gender-reveal group chat, not a plan-the-wardrobe tool. Your 20-week anatomy scan is the real answer.
