Frequently asked questions

When should I worry about a missed milestone?

Milestones are ranges, and babies often focus on one skill at a time. If your baby loses a skill they had, or you notice several missed milestones for their age, talk to your pediatrician. They can screen development at well visits.

When do babies sit up, crawl and talk?

Many babies sit with support around 4-6 months, crawl somewhere between 6 and 10 months, and say a first word around their first birthday. Some skip crawling entirely, and that's often fine.

What is the hardest month with a baby?

Many parents find the first 6-8 weeks hardest, then again around sleep regressions and separation anxiety. Every family is different. Our guide on the hardest months walks through why.
